Porchfest 2015 will include a ton of great food options, if you’re hungry between performances!
Our sponsor, Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, will host a number of food trucks from 12-6 PM at the former Neighborhood Pride parking lot at 210 Hancock Street, including:
Gabriella’s Farm to Fork: organic, local ingredients
Star Truck: vegan comfort food
Bici-Cocina: Latin American food
Alexander’s: Hearty, Healthy, Homestyle Cuisine
Celia’s Ice Pops: Finger Lakes home grown ice pops
There will be a couple more food trucks at Thompson Park throughout Porchfest:
Silo Truck: local ingredients, specializing in fried chicken
The Good Truck: American, Mexican, and sandwiches
Paulie’s Global Kitchen will be at the corner of N Cayuga and Yates streets, serving vegan chile, meat chile (with meat from Autumn’s Harvest), chicken and biscuits, cider and other beverages.
Northstar House (202 E Falls St) will be grilling local beef burgers, veggie burgers, and pressed paninis, to stay or go, at their outdoor Beer Garden.
The Fall Creek Elementary School PTA will host a bake sale during Porchfest, with proceeds going toward a new sound system for the school gymnasium/auditorium. They’ll be in front of the school, on the corner of Aurora & King streets, from 2:00-4:30 PM, then the corner of Linn & Tompkins streets from 4:30-6:00 PM. They’re raising money to buy and install a new sound system for the school’s gym/auditorium.
There will be a family lemonade stand with fresh fruit, cake pops, popcorn, and assorted other goodies at the corner of Franklin and Short streets, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes.
And finally, the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca will serve Purity Ice Cream sundaes from noon till 2 PM at 306 N Aurora St as part of their 150th anniversary celebration.
